v0.2.1-alpha.5 is a focused corrective release. It synchronizes open Sessions after plugin toggles, reduces repeated terminal queries, aligns PTC guidance with model identity, fixes Page Up layout shifts on Windows and Linux, and adds a stable slot for provider-specific model labels.

alpha.5 is the current alpha-channel build. npm latest remains the stable channel, while next has moved to the 0.2.1 release-candidate line.

Plugin state reaches open Sessions

After enabling or disabling a plugin, an already-open Session could retain an outdated / Skill list. alpha.5 repairs that synchronization path. Test the complete sequence: toggle a plugin, return to the existing Session, open the slash menu, and confirm enabled Skills appear while disabled ones disappear.

Fewer terminal retries

Repeated status queries and ineffective retries can multiply latency and token use in terminal-heavy Agent runs. The update reduces that churn. Compare tool-call counts, repeated commands, and elapsed time on the same multi-step task before and after the upgrade.

PTC identity and model labels

PTC guidance and model identity are now more consistent across the interface and system instructions. The new conversation.input.model.label slot lets a Provider render an appropriate model label without modifying the core input UI.

Upgrade checks

Plugin users should test the toggle-to-slash-menu path. Terminal users should replay a representative command workflow. Provider authors should verify that the new label fits the input layout and that display names stay separate from API model IDs.
